RemarksI looked up that there is actualy a comet that was supposed to be visible at this time that has not been around for 10000 years, but I assume that one would be much slower and be visible only if you stare for a while. This instead was a sudden bright flash, rather than a fixed object, and much thicker or larger and with a much more vivid trail than a shooting star or meteor.
