RemarksI was traveling west in to El Paso at approx 2300 on Montana Ave in my F-150. The object appeared as a shooting star, considerably brighter and larger than a typical shooting star, enough that it surprised me and I pointed it out to my passenger, and caught my eye at just left of my rearview mirror, traveling across my windshield to about midway into my driver side view before I lost sight of it, not on the actual horizon, but what would be the Franklin Mountains in the distance.

Terminal flash
ObservationYes
Remarkswhen I first noticed it it was a VERY bright "shooting star" and about 2-3 sec later it went from a yellowish to a bright green and about 1 sec after that I saw the flash that I associate with what I've seen before as the object hitting the atmosphere. There was no fragmentation. From my POV the object "flashed" right before it went behind the Franklin Mountains heading WSW possibly into Juarez Mexico when I lost sight of it.
